You Now Have An Alternative Are you angry enough yet? Are you tired of the same old promises made by the Democrats and Republicans (Republocrats) only to see those promises broken once they get into office? Are you sick of the politicians in Catawba county who have allowed unlimited growth at the expense of your quality of life? Can anyone keep up with the current devolvement in the Hickory area and other parts of the county? How about the constant increases in our taxes and property evaluations. Our politicians call it progress as if it were some "golden fleece" we are all seeking. Of course you have noticed the traffic congestion and the increase in crime, drugs and pollution coming into our area, not to mention the gangs and They call that progress? Have you actually sat down lately and figured how much of your hard earned money goes to taxes? Your paycheck is taxed, your house and land are taxed, your food, clothing, car, boat, savings account....even your phone bill, electric bill, gas bill are taxed... the county is now even taxing the abandoned vehicle that's been sitting out in your field for the past 30 years. When will it end? It won't end, until you the voter do something about it or until there is not a farm, a field or forest to be found and Catawba county looks just like a suburb of Philadelphia or New York City. But that's OK, the politicians have
given us Riverbend Park in case you forget what a tree
looks like. And what about your Southern Culture, History,
Heritage and Moral Values? Well that's not important to
the Republocrats, they feel you should be ashamed of
those things anyway. After all, you'll always have "Cinco
de Mayo" and "Gay Pride Day", right?.......WRONG!
Not if we can help it and we need you to help us do
something about it. Are you angry enough yet? If you are,
